The main difference between (re)zips and silicone bags is that (re)zips are lighter in weight and more affordable than their silicone counterparts. They are also leakproof and airtight with a reliable double-lock closure that creates a strong seal. You can actually feel it “click” shut. Silicone bags are thicker, which affects the seals (unless the bags have a separate locking mechanism). 

(re)zips are not meant for high heat, so silicone is best if you are someone who needs to cook in your bags.
