Handwash: To extend the life of the bag, handwash with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Dishwasher safe – temperature must not exceed 102°F. Prop open to dry. 

Dry: Dry open on a rack, or wipe with a clean kitchen towel.

Seal care: Certain dish soaps may dry out the seal over time and cause it to stiffen slightly. On the rare occasion that occurs, simply wipe a thin coat of olive oil along the grooves of the seal to refresh them.

(re)zips and silicone bags are both great reusable alternatives to single-use plastics. The main difference between (re)zips and silicone bags is that (re)zips are lighter in weight and more affordable than their silicone counterparts. They are also leakproof and airtight with a reliable double-lock closure that creates a strong seal. You can actually feel it “click” shut. Silicone bags are thicker, which affects the seals (unless the bags have a separate locking mechanism). 

(re)zips are not meant for high heat, so silicone is best if you are someone who needs to cook in your bags

(re)zip bags are perfect for freezing. For best results, thaw food in the refrigerator overnight or, if you are short on time, put the bag in a bowl of cold water. (re)zips cannot be used with high heat or in the microwave.
